I had the same problem on two different machines, after loading Win98 on each one. The problem lasted for about a month. Each time I had the error, VFP was open, and explorer was closed. My brother and several developer friends have reported the same problem, during the same period.

The problem has not recurred on any of the machines reporting the error, after the "one month break in period". These events occured August of 1998, and have not come back-yet! Each machine was running version 2 of Win 98. This does not give you the right kind of "warm feeling". I just consider it as another Microsoft "feature".
