What's the best way to deal with FP2.X free tables in MMortals Framework?

Unfortunately, I have to deal with them in one particular project I have. The business classes are great if you're working with DBC's, but once you fall away from that and reference a freetable using a view it can cause some havic.

I don't want to go against the parent class but it seems like I may have to. The one particular problem I'm having is the ONNEW() method. This method requires that the table belong to DBC in order to find the primary key and the original value for the that field.

Has anyone ran into this situation and if so, how did you deal with it. Thanks.
