The app was written by someone who was learning Fox as he wrote (all 70,000+ lines of) it. In all that code it has maybe a dozen SELECT - SQL statements. Needless to say, it won't be a valid test of relative speed.

I am not so concerned about speed, more interested in robustness, any gotchas working with fox on that platform. There has been a lot of talk here about deploying fox dbf on a linux file server but you are the first I have heard of that has actually done it.
