Try positioning the buttons out of view and set the tabstop to .F. This way, any hotkeys should work correctly and the user won't be able to tab to the button.

We have a toolbar and as you know, ALT-P won't execute so we had to go to CTRL-P. I haven't implemented the concept yet, but I think it should work.
