This may be a case where you're being "penny wise and pound foolish". First, you're getting to take the beta at a reduced cost. What do you get in return if you fail? You've seen all the questions, now know what to study for, plus can take it later for nothing. On top of this, you're supporting the Fox community. If you don't take the beta, you pay full price, don't have the advantage of seeing all the questions, so if you fail, you're out the full amount of the test and, if you want to re-take it later, have to pay the full price again. This is why I think it's a no lose proposition.
