When I copy a field from a table using the syntax of:

copy field fin_sec_code to xy.txt type sdf

I get a file that will not import into some applications -- it seems to abort because of some type of character at the eof in the text file - any suggestions on how to get around this -- i.e. how to strip off any invisible characters at the end of file without actually opening the file up in edit mode.
