It seems when a form has a private datasession that the menu, when called through the INIT, cannot access the private session. What I have done as a work around is to creat a property on the form lnrec_count and in the refresh section of the form, update the property. The new code for the menu SKIP FOR is...
_screen.ActiveForm.lnrec_count() = 0.
