Hi,

I use a menu with a top-level form in vfp5.0. It ought to be a simple matter to disable/enable menu pads on the fly, but somehow I can't get it to work properly. I had no problems with this in foxpro 2.6.

As far as I can tell, I do what the books says: In the menu designer, I define a SKIP FOR, (a boolean variable). I create the boolean at the start of the program, and a wait window command shows me that things work as planned. That is, a click on the pad activates a procedure that will set the variable true, perform some action like running a form, after which the variable is made false.

I also tried with SET SKIP OF PAD .. IN MENU .. .F., with no success.

During troubleshooting, I ws able to get the SKIP to work - but only when I clicked a pad, or otherwise somewaht out of sync with what I attempted to do. Any idea where I am going astray?
