I have created a dbf file which is having a general field, while editing the same, when I use edit and insert object, It adds the bitmap or whatever file I want to insert. The picture comes there instantly.

But when i try to do it programmitcally using append general, it doesn't come. I'm giving this command :-

appe blank
append general genfld from sample.bmp
*********************
