It is more likely that the command window got behind something than closed and it's annoying to have to click it once to close it and then again to open it. The same goes for all the other ones like DS and form controls.

You can easily create your own toolbar or even an OKL that gets created when you launch VFP that has all this on it. The OKL for the command window is already defined as Ctrl+F2.
