On a Windows 95 client application that uses NT 4 based foxpro tables, intermittently, when updating the database we get error 111 - unable to update cursor. Cursor has reverted to read only mode.

After restarting the application all is OK.

At the same time on the server there is a periodic backup of the database table using a command of the form "copyfile a.DBF to b.dbf".

The client PC applications run continuously, the server backups happen about every 10 minutes. The database table is about 60 Meg with 33,000 records.

We suspect a conflict between the copyfile and the update as the errror appears to happen when the two coincide.

Any Ideas?
