In my NN properties I am setup for my cable ISP. There is a network card in there using TCP\IP. I also have a regular modem. Its properties in the dial up netorking are set to TCP\IP as well. I need to use the modem to get authenicated on the base LAN, otherwise I can not get through the firewall. Using the modem, I have been able to ping the server. I'll try installing SQL Plus and see what happens. It sounds like everything is set properly. I'll have to re-comfirm my Tnsnames setting are correct.
