Actually you have to go through Sylvan/Prometric to register, not the local testing center. And there might be an issue with the beta being available in all areas.

On a similar note - when the online exam registration first went up, it was known to be unreliable (you would show up on scheduled day/time to find out the testing center didnt know you were coming & your exam wasnt downloaded the night before). So they used to tell you at my local center "register via phone - the old way, it's more reliable". Well I did this recently, for the 70-055, and spent like 40 minutes on the phone. Then I got an email the last business day before my scheduled date informing the testing center was overbooked for that day, due to phone registrations not being processed in same way. Kicker was they gave preference to the online registrants & I lost my seat :( Come VFP beta exam season - you better bet I'll be registering online. All necessary info is available from M$ website exam pages.

>>Probably a stupid question, but not having taken any of the MS exams before, how do you sign up for the beta?
