Sorry Michelle, The last thing that I wanted to do was to insult you or anybody else.

When I said that $25K sounded like a joke I said after thinking of the place where it was offered (New-York). I can't imagine living well in New-York with that salary.

I don't know what is the overall situation where you live. Maybe there are more than enough IT workers to satisfy the companies in your area. If this is the case than why pay high salaries when there are a lot of workers anyway in a given field.

Maybe $27K for you can be the equivalent of a lot more in New-York in order to be able to live like you do in Wisconsin.


Anayway it's hard to compare salaries for different persons at different places and on top of that working for different companies and using different computer languages in different environments.

What I said was only based on what I expected to be not enough to live in New-York.
