I am attempting to replace a typed string with another "on the fly". In MS Word, if you type "hte", Word will automatically replace it with "the".

I need to change "1/2" to "½" and a couple of other upper ascii equivalents.

I can do it in the valid, after everything is typed with the STRTRAN command, and when I put it in the InteractiveChange, if I go into the field again, it will only let me put text at the end of the current string.

I guess I just want to know how to positon the cursor in a field to insert the characters I need.
