Hi Vlad,

I think it is a report from the governement and I agree with you that it seems to be a little bit high for a starter.

It makes a lot of sense that the government would boost those salaries in order to convince the students to study in that field.

There is one thing that they are forgiving with the IT field though.

It is tougher than it looks to go through all the courses and graduate at the end.

It is a demanding field. Yes you can make a lot of money but you're never finished studying just to keep up with the latest technology.

When I began my studies (by night) we were about 5 groups of 40. I think that at the end we were (at the most) 20 to finish it.

I know it is about the same right now. A professor told me that many of the new students go into IT studies thinking that it is just Nintendo stuff and internet browsing. So they lose a lot of these students in the early sessions.

Looking through my crystall ball I can see coming in the near future...

No more 3 or 4 years to have a degree in IT field.

Very specialized classes (6 months to 1 year) to learn a specific subject (Java programming, Windows NT expert, HTML programmer...

Classes given more and more on the internet. (The traffic is beginning to be so bad that the there is really no need to force you to go to a place 40 miles from your home when you could learn from your home)
