IF you are running the app on a Novell server, I have used a small program called WhoHasIt. It works like the Novell Monitor in that you can point to a file, the Exe in this case, and it shows you everyone with a lock on it. You can then message that user or disconnect them if you have appropriate rights. I agree with the other messages in this thread, be careful about arbitrarily disconnecting users. But if you are on Novell and if you don't have access to run Monitor, this can be a useful tool for finding users in the system. Then a couple of calls (hopefully) can result in getting them to shut down gracefully.
