I don't know about PowerBuilder, but Delphi is a compiler that generate a "real" EXE. VFP is an interpreter, so the code in the EXE consist of p-code, which are bigger than the compiled code of Delphi.

I don't think that a big VFP EXE will slow down the load, since (I think) VFP will load only the part it need in memory, not the whole EXE.

A big EXE doesn't bother me that much. I would prefer that MS spend their time on other part of the product first.

>EXE File compiled in POWERBUILDER / DELPHI is much smaller than VFP no matter how huge the application is. IMO, MS has responsibility because they are the producer of VFP. Big EXE file is much slower to load. I am thinking of an OVERLAY file just to make the load much faster...
