I don't know about PowerBuilder, but Delphi is a compiler that generate a "real" EXE. VFP is an interpreter, so the code in the EXE consist of p-code, which are bigger than the compiled code of Delphi.
I don't think that a big VFP EXE will slow down the load, since (I think) VFP will load only the part it need in memory, not the whole EXE.
A big EXE doesn't bother me that much. I would prefer that MS spend their time on other part of the product first.
