What is your app trying to do? If you don't need to display the webpage but only need to read the contents (like for crawling) you can use Rick's wwipstuf (
www.west-wind.com) to fetch a webpage and read the contents into a string.
>I'm trying to create a form that pre processes url's before going to that site. I've been successful in using the web browser control and having the program return to the previous url, if certain keywords are detected in the proposed web page. The problem I'm having is when you attempt to go to a site which spawns multiple windows. I've tried creating a cursor of all file handles prior to the navigation and checking against any new one, but I can't kill the other windows cleanly. Anyone got any ideas? I'm using some of George Tasker's stuff he posted on killing windows using sendmessage, but the windows tend to just clear the contents and freeze. I think if there were a way to surface the iexplore.exe, like in NT's task manager and kill it, that would work because it appears to be a parent object for all Internet Explorer windows. When I kill the program in the task manager all IE instances are eliminated.
