What problem are you having? On the Filter tab, enter each of the variables

Field Name          Not Criteria     Example       Case     Logical
MyTable.CharVar          =            ?MyChar                 AND
MyTable.NumVar           =            ?MyNum

I just tested it and it works fine. One thing to remember, if your character variable is digits only, you must put quotes around it when the view asks for the value of the ?variable.
