And again, it would be an option so if
it doesn't suit you to use it, don't. The problem
above is bad enough, but I'm constantly working
with "legacy" code which has subtle bugs
introduced by a routine inadvertently changing the
value of an undeclared variable.
Also, doesn't "strict typing" refer to declaring
the "type" of data being stored in a variable
as opposed to simply scoping it?
