I am considering buying a framework. I've looked at Codemine's demo, as well as The Mere Mortals Framework's demo. I'd like to look af VFE's demo, but it's not ready yet. While the demos are pretty impressive, they don't address a few things I need to know before making my decision. I'd like to enlist your opinions on the following questions.

1) Right now, I only need to access local Foxpro tables, but will likely need to access an SQL backend in the near future. Which products handle both the local and SQL backends? (and how easily do they handle the backend interface, how efficiently, and how quickly?)

2) I need rapid responses for potentially large data sets. How much does the overhead of the framework effect the overall speed of the application?

3) If I run into difficulty with the product (either in developing an app with it, or after development, when the app is running at the user site), will the company that developed the product answer my questions? and, is there a cost for this service?

4) RAD would be nice, but NOT necessary.


I'd appreciate your points of view...
