Yes, I am doing a select (format: SELECT rpttbl1) before actually starting the report form.

The reason why I think it is a problem with which table is active is that If I save the result table and then open it in VFP and then open my report form in VFP and do a preview, it works fine (ie. it recognizes and finds all the variable names based on the field names in the table).
