Really I know that both work, and also i'm agree with you use the events as intended, but in some ocasions I find the valid event don't works for me as I expected:

1. pass over a combo with the TAB, I though the valid will fire and not (this is cause in some cases I set the value by code, before foccusing the combo)

And if I need to set the focus to a specified object, not the actual control, depending the result of the actual value.

I your oppinion when you will use the Lostfocus, can you give some samples?
