>I am considering buying a framework. I've looked at Codemine's demo, as well as The Mere Mortals Framework's demo. I'd like to look af VFE's demo, but it's not ready yet. While the demos are pretty impressive, they don't address a few things I need to know before making my decision. I'd like to enlist your opinions on the following questions.

I use the Mere Mortals Framework and have been very impressed with the quality and performance of the code. I think it addresses all of your points above. There have been some good threads here on frameworks over the last 6-9 months. Do a search of the knowlegde base for "framework" for more detail.
