>Well, I'm really just getting my feet wet with Linux actually, but I have a client with Novell networks and they want to have a database driven Intranet. The Novell web server is pretty weak when dealing with databases. Novel has the Netscape server, but they have not had much luck with it either. So they decided to try the Apache web server on Linux. I'm working on a way to get data in and out of .dbfs on Linux and the users on the network being able to update data from their Win98 boxes. I know this is not the "ideal" solution to database access in a web environment, but the client has no interest in going with an NT server with IIs. Also, they like the cost of Linux! $0. So, we'll see how it goes.
I'd like to see some way to run Web Connect on Novell or even Linux, but that ain't gonna happen. Otherwise, I'm perfectly content with NT. I try to steer clients away from Novell because of the IIS and Web Connect Issues.
