All,
Has anyone implemented an application-wide timer event?
I'd like to start an app and have a timer check about every 20-30 minutes to see if an Administrato-setable expiration time boundary has been crossed whereupon the application would automatically shut down.
IOW, keep the users honest about whether or not they actually did exit the program last night.
The "icing" on the cake would then be to precipitate a reboot, but I know this can be done via a system call and that's a fish I'll fry later.
Thanks!
Best,
