I use one of those little label printers to print the occasional label. I was told it was "difficult to configure" (the previous one must have been) but I attached and installed it myself, and I'm no expert. I configured the label format and printed landscape. Very nice and easy.

Yes, the rolls of labels may be more expensive, but compare to sheets of wasted labels... or typing them individually.
