VFP problem is with file size 2GB per table
how many records depends on the record size
you can bypass these limitations by dividing data between tables etc.
(there was a nice article on this if FPA - that described Euro Tunnel 128GB
DB)
but for big sizes of tables you will be better off using some C/S (2-tier
or 3-tier) setup
and for such you probably want to consider SQL server (Orace, MS SQL server
etc) for the DB backend (3rd tier) and VFP for 1st and 2nd tiers
