Bob, I'm not sure what you are describing when you speak of an Access or Assign event.

Christof,

If method code can be interupted, how can you be sure of your environment? Your current work area could be changed, current record, current index tag, anything could be changed by the interupting event. If this is true, how can it be prevented or what standards should one follow to eliminate the conditions where an event interupts a currently running method or procedure?

Anyone?
