We have been having "error reading file" as well for 6 months, and I haven't found any solutions. Were on a compaq nt4 server with netbeui and 3com cards. The problem especially happens on a machine running 4 vfp5 apps. what setup do you have? Our errors (in many cases) seem to be correlated with a rdr error (3013) in the event log. This never happens with local data. I have only narrowed it down to a "network" related problem, but I haven't found any concrete solutions. please help. tia -jack
