I agree, that if on every install, you have to do this, it's a major PITA, but in the docs, you can pass it off as "if you receive the error message (insert message here), verify that the installation program properly set up the environment variable... yada yada yada"... Pass the blame off to the installation program ;)

Hadn't thought about that, I'm pretty new to NTWS. Everything there is set to Winnt, and that's where we should be putting the app runtimes. But I guess you're right, though, for a workaround if we have to, adding the path there to Windows\System is a more "NTish" way of doing things than using Autoexec :) Thanks for clueing me in to this...
