Guess what George, I saw Win2k and the new installer at Devdays today and that's the way they say things will be in the future. That way you don't have to worry about another product overwriting your installation. Additionally, the dllcache folder will contain a copy of every dll that gets installed so if a user deletes one, it will automatically copy it back.
