And lo! there before me were 5 FoxBase + books in Chinese! I bought one as a memento!

Second, that's pretty cool to hear. Generally, older versions of software seem to live longer outside the US and western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand because it is more diffult to acquire hardware needed to run the new software. There are of course, exceptions, as many of the UTers show.
