Thanks for your help Barbara!

But... what you've described is the way it was originally done, and of course now we're migrating to a windows environment, but dont want to rewrite all of the reports (about a hundred) all at once

What I really am looking for is a way of changing the font being set to the output device. of course I can change the font to the SCREEN, by using _screen.fontsize=12 , but thats doestn help me with printing.

the real objecive is to use our existing reports with the windows print managers without doing a line by line change in them for cosmetic formatting due to the font changeover from DOS to windows printing...

any clues on this?

thanks for help already recieved,
and hope that my addled wits end shall receive
relief...

Scott

>If this is always the same printer, just put the printer code in with ??? (3 question marks) if it's FoxPro. May be different if it's Clipper. If you are using several printers, create a small file and get the correct code out of the file depending on workstation, network login, or whatever works.
