That all works on my developement machines, but how do I make sure the appropriate ODBC drivers are installed on my customer's remote (sales force notebooks) systems when I ship an EXE. I'm looking at MS's MDAC_TYP.EXE and DCOM95.EXE, but some of the details elude me. (Bind those into the .exe? Run as an after-install executable? If so how to get a 6mb file included in the install disk set? And so forth....)
Thanks for the quick response. That thread was very interesting and has a lot of food for thought. Do you (or anyone else) know of any _good_ treatment of this subject in a book, magazine article, or other source? KB articles seem to be very fragmented and piecemeal at best, and the Foxtalk and Foxpro Advisor articles I've read seem to address the mechanics of using Word as an automation server, but no "overview" of creating a distributable application.
