I agree - this is how it should of worked all along. The thing that threw me hear is I'm used to adding code to the subclass method that I purposedly left empty in the parent (in which case this is soooooo handy!) But this time I had a handful of code in the parent method... plus a braindead kind of day... and I thought whoa what's this doing here.
