I am doing 2 of these right now. No you can't recompile the code unde VFP and expect it to be "pretty" I found the converter really gagging on screen to form conversion.

If you have never done OOP programming then it will not be easy. Pasting code from the old app into the new one wont have the same effect and if you did alot of browsing then you are realy sunk.

I would recommed the use of a framework, figutre 1 month + of non stop work in getting through the learning curve on it. Then you have to determine if your app will be nTier, and what back end possibilities you will allow. Now is the best time to do this!

Next is getting the functionality consistant across your app. Will your clients demand the same thing in VFP that you gave in 2.X? Are they open to a mouse?
