I've done considerable fox development on LAN applications use ODBC and open client. I've never done any internet development and would like to mess with it a bit. I'd like to use some views and update small data sets. I'm curious, if I have a DSN from my ISP can I use a normal VFP app on my PC treat the internet DSN as though it were a network drive or do you HAVE to use a browser with html/asp etc.

If I can use ODBC w/o a browser what are the drawbacks?
