Hello Everyone,

I have researched many threads on this web site regarding Windows NT Services, without finding an answer to this particular problem.

I have a fairly complex program that handles alot of processing for my application, like EDI creation, etc. It runs in Local mode, as well as Oracle and SQL Server. I would like to have this application turn into a service.

We are currently researching the Windows NT Resource Kit SRVANY.EXE program with limited success. We seem to be able to perform small tasks as a service, like just creating a file with FCREATE(). However, any time we try to access ODBC we "seem" to hang up. Our next step is to work on a better error trapping procedure that might actually tell us what the problem is. Also, we are working with the security Login parameters around services, attempting to log in as various users....

As you can see, we are attempting many things. BUT, if anyone knows of a complete document that describes how to do this, please let me know. If not, I may have such a document in a month or so....

Thanks,

Ray Kremer
