Yeah,, the only way is doing an ASCII export either by commad delim or fixed format.
I was in the same situation a couple of years back and that was the only way I was able to "talk" to this DB enviroment.

I think they are coming up with a new 32 bit version, they have like yearly meeting in England.I know of a developer that goes there every year to hear and to check the "new" stuff available to DataEase
