Installing Win98 2nd edition will install an 'updated' MS/SQL ODBC driver that will make your ODBC connections significantly slower!
At least it did with us. We have a VFP5 front end talking to an MS/SQL v6.5 backend.

To correct, simply replace the new driver with the older version of SQLSRV32.DLL from a backup or the old Win98 CD.

I would like to hear from anyone confirming the problem and fix.
