It's nice to know that I'm not the only one ... I was seriously thinking that I had some bad RAM or something. For me, it only happens if I launch several IE4 sessions prior to bringing up FPW 2.6. IE seems to be the culprit for me ... I haven't done extensive testing of this or anything, but it seems pretty clear to me that it's IE causing my problem. And it's only if I have multiple IE sessions open or have opened and closed an IE session many times. This morning I had started IE (to come here on the UT), forgetting to bring up FPW first (I don't always use FPW, so I don't have it automatically startup). I then immediately launched FPW without a hitch ... however, if I had started up more than one IE session, I know my system would have crashed. My symptoms are that the system totally freezes (Win98, but it did it on Win95 too before I upgraded) ... the mouse doesn't move, the keyboard doesn't work, usually the 3-finger salute doesn't even budge it ... have to hit reset or power down.

I know this doesn't help as far as what fixes there are (I was hoping to get that answer myself when I saw this thread) ... I guess the only workaround is to have FPW come up first before you start your busy day!!!
