Hi ellen,

When you say "preview" do you mean opens in the application related to viewing jpgs? If so, you can associate the files with a application and double clicking it. You'll get a dialog that will list all the registered applications. Simply select the one you want, and check the "Always open with" check box.

I do doubt, however, that this is what you're asking.
