Someone is claiming that the system may never have had FRTs, just FRXs as it runs under FoxPro 1.02. I have my doubts, but having (fortunately) avoided ever working with FoxPro 1.x, and only having FPD 2.0 as the oldest FP I own, I have no way of knowing if this is true.

Hiya Gonz,

I dug up some old FP 2.0 documentation, and it listed the FRX file structure for 1.0. For what I gather, it did have memo fields. However, as usual, it's a bit unclear. I guess the easiest way to test would've been to simply open the file as a table. If it needed memo fields, and the file wasn't present you'd a "Memo file is missing/invalid" error message.

And good luck to the Fins.< g >
