This is more of a Windows question but...

I have a strange problem. One of my prg files is visible from explorer, DOS, etc, but does not really exist. IOW, trying to open the file gives "File not found" error. Trying to delete the file (through explorer) gives a "Cannot delete file (System error 1026)".

Trying to create a new file in the same directory with the same name is fruitless. The file has a size (5k), a modified date and attributes, but otherwise does not appear to exists.

Any ideas as to what happened and how to kill or recover this phantom file?
