Mr. McNeish,
I reviewed your suggestions and had already confirmed that the Classes.dbf and MetaDBC.dbf files were both available to the COM object. In addition, I tried changing the specified setting (which I could not recall at this time), yet it had no effect. Am I mistaken that we can simply set the OLE Public flag for a class library and have it accessable via COM? This is all I have done this far. I had a previously created Business Object which I then specified as OLE Public, compiled the class into a MTDLL file and used CREATOBJECT('MYPROJ.MYBIZOBJ'). This sucessfully creates the object, yet when I place some STRTOFILE commands in the Login code I am trying to write (for a web site), they indicate that the database is not set and none of the files or cursors are opened. However, the EXACT same code works perfectly fine when instantiated simply as a class library from within the VFP command window. I have triple checked and read the COM object section in the manual, yet I seem unable to create such a beast. As an FYI, all functionality is available save for data access. In fact, I have included a copy of the error as specified by MyBizObj.aErrorMsg(1, 1):

Error No: 13

Object: usermgr

Method: login

Line No: 60

Message: Alias is not found.

Calling Chain: PROCEDURE USERMGR.ERROR C:\DEV\SHARED\MMORTALS\COMMON30\LIBS\KBIZNESS.VCT

Thank you for your assistance,
