>I have a text field printing on a report... the client entered the data for the field and it is one continous string of characters (no spaces). Apparently, VFP will automatically truncate text strings that are too long at the closest space to the end. In this case, there isn't one so VFP doesn't print the text field at all. Is this controllable somewhere?
Unfortunately, no. This one got me too. I ended up having to change the text style of this column to a non-proportional font and then trimming the field down to the max # of characters. If you don't switch the font, the # of characters it can fit can change making this a real nightmare. If this isn't an option, you could make a guess as to the minimum # of characters that might be able to fix and trim the field to this number (ie. type in something like "ZZZZZ" and count the number of characters that fit before clipping, then adjust down from there).
