I am seeing a problem in VFP6 when I have a local view with a DefaultValue. If I APPEND BLANK, the DefaultValue is loaded and ultimately written to the table. However, if I use INSERT, the DefaultValue is loaded but not written to the table. If I use GETFLDSTATE(), the field in question will have a 3.

Running the same test in VFP5, the field will have a 4 as expected get written to the table using APPEND BLANK or INSERT.

Is this widespread? I checked MS Knowedgebase with no luck.
