I've used ADO for quite awhile. But this does'nt require conversion to ADO from a cursor and to a cursor from ADO, when dealing with single records. I think it could be useful when a (non-n-tier) program written in VFP wants to use COM for desktop apps. I have already written a DLL which allows reocrd by record navigation in a Form while requesting the data from the DLL.
I don't mean to imply that this object replaces ADO/RDS/XML. But it does have some use in COM based desktop development. Since buffering was provdied as an option in FP I haven't looked at SCATTER. Plus I just think its cool.
